About the Project
As part of the future development of the Apollo Theatre in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, Indigo River was retained as an Environmental Review consultant to draft several planning sections for the Apollo Theatre Expansion Environmental Assessment Statement (EAS) in coordination with Empire State Development (ESD). Commencing with the SEQRA process, Indigo River has drafted the Land Use, Zoning, Public Policy, Urban Design, Open Space, and Socioeconomic Conditions sections, including coordination with ESD and the lead Consultant, Sam Schwartz. This important project will provide much-needed affordable housing units and community facility space to the neighborhood.
Currently, the project is on hold while ESD coordinates with the developer and local community.
