NYC Coastal Resiliency

Indigo River, as a subconsultant to a joint venture entity formed between HNTB and LiRo, is providing waterfront consulting services for the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project. This priority project for the City of New York will integrate flood protection into the community fabric and improve access to the waterfront rather than walling off the neighborhood from its shoreline. 

Indigo River’s scope is multifaceted – working with the design team, Indigo River reviewed the proposed waterfront improvements to establish sustainable and resilient solutions. Additionally, Indigo River is reviewing the existing site conditions and previous inspection reports of the site to develop detailed quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates for the proposed improvements to ensure the project remains on budget. Indigo River has also supported the general contractor by reviewing construction logistics submittals, compiling and advising on an alternative analysis for construction means & methods, and writing operational procedures for the berthing and sequencing of materials barges for USCG compliance.
