About the Project
Indigo River, as a consultant to TMS Waterfront, provided demolition and reconstruction design services of Tango Pier on Governors Island. Tango Pier is a T-shaped pier located on the southeast shoreline of Governors Island, extending approximately 225 feet into Buttermilk Channel.
To accomplish demolition of the existing pier Indigo River prepared a design package detailing removals of the pier deck, superstructure, and supporting piles. Indigo River also aided LiRo, TGI’s construction manager, with the RFP process, advised on staging and sequencing of construction, aided in bid review and contractor selection, and monitored construction progress.
In tandem with the design process, IR submitted permit applications to USACE, NYSDEC, NYSDOS, and NYCDSBS; produced a complete project schedule for design, permitting, construction, and closeout; and conducted cost estimates for demolition activities.
