About the Project
Indigo River was awarded a contract to lead, prepare, and produce all components of the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program for the Village of Montour Falls, New York. The project scope covers public outreach, coordination between various levels of government and area stakeholders, and production of materials. Specifically Indigo River will:
• Conduct large public meetings
• Asses existing conditions in the Village
• Propose future projects within the LWRP area
• Coordinate with local and state agencies regularly
Indigo River’s Team consists of the following subconsultants: Southern Tier Central Economic and Regional Planning and Alumni Planning Group.
In the Summer of 2023, Indigo River was authorized to begin work which consists of the preparation of a Project Management Plan and Public Outreach Plan for the full project contract. An assessment of the existing physical, natural, and economic conditions followed. The project team is currently preparing materials for their first Public Outreach meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to develop visions and goals for the LWRP area and provide feedback on the existing conditions work done to date.
